May Wrap-up

I read seven books this month. Not bad right? BUT did I read the books from my May TBR? No, no I did not. I read two of the nine books from my tbr. I’m glad I got a decent amount of books read, but I wasn’t in as big a reading mood as I hoped I would be. I still really enjoyed doing the try a chapter, but I only continued with 3 of the books, and I didn’t even finish one! (I started City of Brass, but wasn’t in the right mood to read it.)

The only reason I got so much reading done this month is I have figured out how to enjoy audio books! I have never liked audiobooks very much, I struggle to get in to them. Sometimes I dislike the reader, or i find it hard to keep up with the story. But now I know why! I can only listen to contemporary books on audio, no fantasy! Fantasy has so many names and places to keep up with, with the audiobook I can’t flip back and recap like I can with a physical book. But with contemporary it’s easy to keep up with the story and I actually really enjoy them. Now I have a whole list of books I want to listen to!

Here is the full list of all the books I read in May:

Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire
3 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Warrior of the Wild by Tricia Levenseller
5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
(From TBR)

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
(From TBR)

Everless by Sara Holland
5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover
4 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Chaos of Standing Still by Jessica Brody
4 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

And those are the seven books I read this month! Hopefully next month I can do a better job of getting to books that are on my TBR. What books did you read in May? Let me know in the comments! Thank you and Happy Reading 🖤
