We are halfway through March! I can’t believe how quickly the day’s are passing! I’ve been trying to read as much as possible and have now finished half of my chosen books (counting this one today!) I think I am finally out of my mini reading slump and excited to pick up the pace over the next couple weeks! in the coming two weeks I will be posting sometimes daily instead of every other day. I initially made 20 prompts with the intent to only choose 16. But now I am kind of wanting to get to all of them.. Is that too ambitious? We shall see. Time to choose the next prompt.
“Read a book with a map in it.”
So basically every book on my tbr! Haha. But honestly that fits SO many books. Luckily that means I can finally pick up this one:
All The Stars and Teeth by Adalyn Grace
Set in a kingdom where danger lurks beneath the sea, mermaids seek vengeance with song, and magic is a choice.
She will reign.
As princess of the island kingdom Visidia, Amora Montara has spent her entire life training to be High Animancer—the master of souls. The rest of the realm can choose their magic, but for Amora, it’s never been a choice. To secure her place as heir to the throne, she must prove her mastery of the monarchy’s dangerous soul magic.
When her demonstration goes awry, Amora is forced to flee. She strikes a deal with Bastian, a mysterious pirate: he’ll help her prove she’s fit to rule, if she’ll help him reclaim his stolen magic.
But sailing the kingdom holds more wonder—and more peril—than Amora anticipated. A destructive new magic is on the rise, and if Amora is to conquer it, she’ll need to face legendary monsters, cross paths with vengeful mermaids, and deal with a stow-away she never expected… or risk the fate of Visidia and lose the crown forever.
I am the right choice. The only choice. And I will protect my kingdom.
I have been waiting for this since the first time I saw the cover. Then I read the synopsis and was done for. I love books centered around the sea and can not wait to dive into this one. (Ha! See what I did there?) In all seriousness I am so excited for this book and hope it is everything I think it will be and more!
If you were to choose a book with a map in it to read next, which book would you choose?
Thanks and Happy Reading 🖤
