Looks like today is going to be another double post day because I was unable to post yesterday. I’m making sure to hit my goals this month and a big goal of mine was to post 31 times in march. So far I’m on track as long as I double post today to make up for yesterday! I can’t believe how close we are to the end of March! Things have been so crazy in the world, and the days seem to be flying by. I hope all this madness is behind us soon and things can start to get back to normal. But until then I am just going to try and read, relax and make some posts for you guys! Lets get into todays post: Prompt #12!
“Read a book with a title that has twenty or more letters.”
This is a tough one for sure. I know I don’t have many, but I hope at least one of them is something I am in the mood to read. Let me first check if there is anything on my bookshelf!
Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi
They killed my mother.
They took our magic.
They tried to bury us.
Now we rise.
Zélie Adebola remembers when the soil of Orïsha hummed with magic. Burners ignited flames, Tiders beckoned waves, and Zélie’s Reaper mother summoned forth souls.
But everything changed the night magic disappeared. Under the orders of a ruthless king, maji were killed, leaving Zélie without a mother and her people without hope.
Now Zélie has one chance to bring back magic and strike against the monarchy. With the help of a rogue princess, Zélie must outwit and outrun the crown prince, who is hell-bent on eradicating magic for good.
Danger lurks in Orïsha, where snow leoponaires prowl and vengeful spirits wait in the waters. Yet the greatest danger may be Zélie herself as she struggles to control her powers and her growing feelings for an enemy.
Found one! I’m a bit embarrassed to say that I put this on my December tbr and then never read it. Then I put it on my January tbr and never read it…
It’s just such a big book and I was intimidated and always put other books ahead of it. But that stops now! I am actually really excited to read this and now that I’m putting it on for my March Challenge, there is no going back. I will read this and I will (hopefully) enjoy the heck out of it!
Also at 22 letters I think it is the longest title of any of my books, so bonus points maybe?
Be sure to look out for my second post a bit later today!
If you were picking a book to match this prompt, which book would you choose?
Happy Reading 🖤
