Hello fellow book lovers! I hope you’re doing well! As soon as I saw that the creators of The Reading Rush were creating a mini stay at home readathon I knew I had to participate. I love participating in the week long Reading Rush that happens every July and I’m super excited they decided to make this mini readathon to help people relax and have some fun! Since this is a mini readathon there will only be four prompts! Since I am currently participating in The Magical Readathon I was slightly hesitant to add 4 more books to my tbr. Luckily the creators said you can make one book fit multiple challenges if you want, so I began my search to find a book or two that could fit these prompts!
Here are the 4 prompts:
Read a book with a house on the cover!
Read a book in the same room the whole time!
Read a book set somewhere you wish you could go!
Read a book that will make you smile!
After browsing my bookshelves I realized there is one book that actually fits all four of these prompts AND it’s a book I have really been wanting to reread! That book is:
Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling
You may be wondering: Gabby, how does this fit all of the prompts? Let me tell you!
1. Hogwarts is like a house! The students and teachers live there, and Hogwarts is illustrated on the cover.
2. This first book in the series is very short so I will have no trouble reading it in one room, and probably in one sitting.
3. I would love to go to Hogwarts!
4. The Harry Potter series has a special place in my heart and the nostalgia alone will make me smile for sure! Plus I just love this series so I will definitely be smiling while reading this one.
I have never done a reread of the Harry Potter series and I have been really wanting to these past few months! It has been over 10 years since I originally read the series and I still watch the movies every year. I’m very excited to step back into the wizarding world again and reread a childhood favorite!
Are you participating in the stay at home reading rush? What books are on your tbr? Let me know!
Happy Reading 🖤
This is perfect! I also want to participate but the books I have left for OWLs don’t really fit all 4 prompts. I can totally add HP book!! Thank you for the idea!! ❤

You must be reading my mind, Gabby! I plan on rereading Harry Potter for this reading rush as well. I don’t know if it will just be the first book, or whether I’ll go for the whole series (imagine trying to cram that into 3 days?) Hope you’re well, and good luck!

That would be amazing if you could somehow read all of them in that period! Good luck 😄
